Programme Team
The Black Country Provider Collaborative Programme Team comprises the following people.
Philippa Browne
Associate Director – Transformation and Improvement of the Black Country Provider Collaborative
Philippa joined the Collaborative in February 2025, bringing a dynamic blend of strategic insight and transformational leadership. With a career spanning the UK, New Zealand, and the US across both public and private sectors, she has cultivated a global leadership perspective rooted in cultural intelligence, inclusive practice, and system-wide innovation.
Her passion lies in transforming healthcare systems to deliver equitable, high-quality care. Philippa is known for her ability to lead complex change initiatives with empathy, precision, and purpose— prioritising patient experience and outcomes. She believes deeply in healthcare that is fair, compassionate, and future-ready.
Philippa leads the Collaborative Transformation and Improvement team across four partner NHS Trusts, driving service redesign across sixteen clinical networks. A recent standout achievement includes securing approval for the Deep Inferior Epigastric Perforator (DIEP) flap reconstruction business case—a testament to her strategic leadership and collaborative ethos. This initiative not only improves access to advanced surgical care but also addresses systemic health inequalities through thoughtful, equitable service design.
Philippa’s work exemplifies what transformational leadership in healthcare should be: visionary, inclusive, and relentlessly focused on better outcomes for all.
